Museum
The TransMontana is a prototype locomotive made for Romanian Railways by the Softonic company. It is the first Romanian locomotive with an asynchrone engine, and it's concept and design is mainly based on that of the Softronic Phoenix. Some components from older locomotive class EA, can be still found used on the locomotive, mainly the chassis and some parts of the boogies. With a power of 8200 kW, it enters the club of the most powerfull locomotives not only in Romania, but in the whole world.
