You did a great job with the Transylvania Theme image! If you have time, would you mind doing the same thing for Bobby's Desert and Rain Enhancement, please? If so, that would be awesome! :-) TheRealPella (talk) 15:02, November 17, 2013 (UTC)
Please take a look at File:Snowy Refinery.png. That is how the image looks when I do a very basic background removal using Colour Picker. Whenever I attempt to remove more of the blue next to the building, it matches colours on the building itself. I fought with that thing for three hours, so I figure I'll let you see what you can do. You probably know more about how Photoshop and GMP work than I do, so I'm sure your results will be better than mine. ;-)
yeah that is a difficult one. There have been some others in the past with guide wire that were just to fine to edit nicely so we may end up doing something similar here but I'll play with it and see what I can come up with.
Digging out the inside of the sphere is going to be way too messy in the end I think. They did not a complete job in representing the grid from the far side of the sphere showing through the entire structure. And by editing out the background it further washes out the shadow of the backside grid. So for now I think just removing the exterior background will be good enough.
Do you have a way, or know a way, or can invent a way, to remove the red "checkmark ribbon" from the images of completed achievements? We have many achievements that still display the old logos because none of our regular editors have access to the "clean" logos.
If not, then I'll use a couple of low-level accounts I have to see if I can fill in some of the gaps. I just figured removing the ribbons from the logos we already have might be quicker and easier.
since I deleted my whole answer (by clicking backspace...) and I didn't have much sleep the past days (1-2h/d) and it's already past 2:30am, I'm going to answer in some hours "again"...just so you know :D
Apologies. I started writing a response hours ago. Since then, I've encountered an endless string of distractions. I'll get back to you by the end of the day my time. You'll probably be asleep by then. ;-)
