I noticed you made some edits to the Extensions page, in the Technology section. I'm still working, albeit slowly, on reworking the Extensions page. Therefore, I wanted to discuss one of the changes you made to the live page.
Below each of the images in the Technology table, you changed the text from center alignment to left alignment. The norm on the site, so far, has been center alignment. Do you think left is better? (Apparently, yes.) I'm curious why. I'm not saying left is wrong. It's just different from what we've seen before, and I'm interested in your reasons. :-)
I didn't reformat any of the text cells, only the cells with the pictures in the left hand column. With the pictures "centered" the edges don't line up and the table looks "messy". I only line up the edges. I'm good with the site norm for center alignment of text.
Ah. This screen is the same size as yours. When I typed the previous reply, it was on a smaller monitor.
When Rastislav and I first created those tables, the text automatically appeared below the images. Now, they appear beside the images, if the screen's resolution is high enough. I think the ideal solution is to center everything and to force the text to appear below the images. I'll work on it. I was aware that this was happening, but your edits show the consequences of not dealing with it. Thanks for that. :-)
While it may be on the correct page, there's a chance I missed seeing it.
Another way of leveling up reasonably quickly once sending to Giovanni is to buy the Mandrake Billboard (2500XP for 100,000 Gold. Sell for 20,000 Gold). The good thing about doing it this way is that you aren't using your own gold that may be used for other things. Giovanni is greedy and wants a lot of Gold but uses very little of it so far.
I do hope this is helpful to TrainStation players :)
lucy = 4 x 270 best non purchase building 2x 62/23 1x 60/22 (westminster) > worse than purchaseables
Mizuki = 3 x 330 best non purchase buildings (better than Shanghai 20/11) 2x 26/7 Fifth Avenue, 1 x fish warehouse 65/27, 1x airport terminal 70/30, 1 x fishing port 45/23, 1 x dancing tower (= 4 x 4/2)
Alan = 3 x 290 = 123 sydney towers 3 (41 x 7 = 287 spaces = 779/hour) = 2337/h
Sorrry haven't worked out the rest.
built an extra 11 Piccadilys and 4 trainsbury chocolate factorys on Lucy so far and still have 56 spaces to fill before I'll start eating into the original buildings. 2438/h currently
Just left wading through Giovanni contracts now, but the rewards are REALLY good. The new Johan contracts have provided a light relief.
I saw the rabbling about Wolfgang so I've had a play around and tried a few different arrangements using additional purchased towers, brandenburg gates and DB offices. I'm now maxed out at 1436/h although logical maths does seem to apply here either.
I had a flight path 8/10 hidden that dragged the original total down.
1 row = 55 tv towers + brandenberg gate
1 row = 2x25's + 50 towers (no change)
1 row = 27 towers + 1 DB tower + the rest of the buildings
Hello Skip. I have decided to reduce my ultra-long comment with high-level players list as it was merely destroying the discussion page. I finally managed to repair the formatting glitch (disable wrapping) and furthermore I reduced the list in my comment just to TOP 20.
