As you might have noticed, we prefer to remove the background from the locomotive and wagon images before uploading them. If you haven't learned how to do that yet, we can help you. If you need graphics editing software, there's an excellent (and free!) program called GIMP that you can download. :-)
Also, the naming protocol we use for Shop images is the name of the item, exactly as it appears in the Shop. For example, Predator Tail.png is the preferred name for that file. Uploading the file with a different name means that one of the admins now must rename the file. I'm sure you can understand how that could become tedious.
Again, thank you for your contributions! All of us in the TSWiki community hope you continue to contribute valuable data to our site. ;-)
Thanks :) I do need a bit of a guiding hand with this but once I figure it out Ill be good. I have GIMP, but I am not exactly talented with it, so if you can give me a quick way to make an image transparent, that would be awesome.
Gotcha on the naming, will follow suit with the rest of the Predator set and any pages in the future. Thanks for the help, I'll do that with the rest of the set and PLEASE tell me if Im not doing something right, so I know the correct way to save work for you guys.
I'm working on a concise set of instructions for GIMP. I'll see if I can get it done and posted this week.
I'm also working on updating our Style Guide, which is a set of guidelines for pretty much everything we do here. We've had a few new editors lately, so I really need to get hot on that and knock it out quickly.
