|The MMV Class 600 is a series of electric locomotives rebuilt from the Romanian Class 40 and locomotives and used by a private Hungarian rail operator. They were originally produced by Electroputere Craiova between 1965 and early 1990s under license from ASEA Sweden, and are based on the Swedish class Rb1 locomotives produced in the early 1960s. The original CFR class designations was 060-EA and it they were geared for 120 km/h. After 1990 many of the original units were scrapped, but those that remained in service are currently being rebuilt with new motors and traction control systems as the MMV Class 600 was.|
