LWT12 Herald and Aero Herald are a pair of locomotives based on an experimental diesel locomotive built by GM Electro-Motive Division between 1956 and 1958, and designed to pull light high-speed passenger trains. The Herald sibling locomotives have been altered to be able to pull cargo and their EMD 567C 12-cylinder engines produce up to 1200 horsepower (890 kW). |
