| WAG-7 is the name of an electric locomotive used in India. It is one of the most powerful locomotives in Indian Railways' fleet. WAG7 was built by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works and BHEL and is an uprated version of WAG-5 locomotive. These six axle locomotives are fitted with 6 Hitachi designed DC series traction motors type HS15250A, and controlled by a tap changer. In the locomotive vehicle market WAG -7 is more economical option and one of the cheapest in the world.|
