| The state owned Italian Ferrovie dello Stato (FS) had several cab forward locomotives. Those were the 4-6-0 type Gr. 670, Gr. 671 and Gr. 672 locomotives nicknamed as "mucca" (cow) and used to haul passenger trains on the east coast line.
