Depot Slots determine how many trains a player can store in the depot. Depot slots are useful for assembling trains while waiting for another rail to become available, or to compare different train configurations. The game begins with five Depot Slots (once players reach to level 14) and every upgrade add two slots. Additional Depot Slots can be purchased in the Shop under the Extensions tab. Other Depot Slots are rewarded during gameplay or can be purchased during bonus offers.

In addition to the Depot Slots rail expansions available in the shop, the game also offers reward slots.
Obtaining these slots does not affect the next purchase of a shop slot.
