Wagons in TrainStation use five different cargo types, which are Materials , Passengers , Mail and Special to be used for Contractors, Friends, and remote Destinations. The player earns access to a wide range of wagons types, which covered the entire span of railway history, from vintage Steam wagons to futuristic Hyperloop wagons. Each type of wagons can be apply with a 'bonus' when right amount of wagons given with correct locomotive, and used certain Special Buildings can increase this Bonus even further.
TrainStation includes many real-world wagons, but also offers many fictional models created by Pixel Federation.
Cargo Wagons helps to develop your station and railway empire, you need materials, these are collected by sending Cargo Wagons on local tracks. Materials that are transported on International destinations are taken from the player's own stock.
Passenger Wagons transport waiting passengers from a player's station to other destinations. Passengers being transported on Local destinations give gold () to the player who sends them. Passengers who are transported on International destinations give gold to the Contractor or Neighbour to whom they are being sent.
Mail Wagons transport collected mail from a player's station to other destinations. Mail that is being transported to Local destinations will give gold () to the player who sends it. Mail that is being transported on International destinations give gold to the Contractor or Neighbor to whom it is sent.
Passenger and Mail Wagons, also called combined wagons, transport both waiting passengers and collected mail from a player's station to other destinations. On Local destinations they give gold () to the player who sends them, and on International destinations they give gold to the Contractor or Neighbor to whom they are being sent.
Special Wagons, also called XP wagons, give to the player who sends them.
