Themes

Themes in TrainStation give each station a unique look. Most themes have unique music, and some have unique sound effects. Most themes also unlock buildings and decorations that are unique to that theme. In addition, a few themes unlock locomotives, wagons, or achievements.
You are also able to enhance any theme with a Theme Enhancement.

Themes are located in the Shop, on the "Extensions and Themes" tab.

After purchasing a theme, a player may change to it at any time, with no further cost. To change to a theme previously purchased, find the TrainStation tools on the main game screen, and click the Storage icon. In the Storage screen, click the Themes tab, which is the second tab from the right.

Purchasing a theme unlocks permanently all content related to that theme. Buildings, decorations, locomotives, and other items can be purchased and used from any unlocked theme at any time, regardless of which theme is active.

Players can purchase the Stock Exchange, this is a special building that will give a 20% discount on all future purchases of themes and extensions, see the note below.
In each table of themes, the Discount column shows the prices of items when the discount from Stock Exchange is active.

Important note: To buy the Stock Exchange you have to reach level 28 and you have to unlock it first with the Meadow Theme. To receive the discount, ensure the Stock Exchange is placed on a street in a station before purchasing any extension. This benefit does not apply while Stock Exchange is placed in Storage.
