Cargotrain

Cargo wagons

In order to develop your station and your railway empire you need materials, lots of materials, these are collected by sending out cargo trains on your local lines. Cargo is collected at a base rate of 10 units per wagon on a 10 minutes ride, this is then modified by the wagon capacity, loco type, and the length of the trip. For a detailed description of destination vs. cargo capacity see Local Trains For each material there are 5 wagons available for coins in the shop, they are: Base capacity, +10%, +20%, +70% (limited to 20) and + 200% (limited to 20 and after level over 3xx)  in addition for most materials there is a +40% wagon, a +100% available for gems, and the +20% can also be bought for gems. In addition there are several wagons only available as special offer and as rewards from contracts, achievements, or levelling up.

For ease of management, wagons have been moved to their respective pages.

Dual Wagons

Added as part of the September 20, 2012 Game Updates. Many players find these wagons a bit confusing, but they are a lot simpler than expected.

For a single wagon you get the equivalent of two wagons carrying the same bonuses. To carry the same amount of cargo as two +25% bonus dual cargo wagons, you'll need 1 single cargo wagon with a +150% bonus of each of the two cargoes to be carried, not just two wagons with twice the bonus. The reason for this disparity is that the dual cargo wagon carries the base value of both cargoes in addition to it's bonus. A fact easily forgotten, and the reason of much confusion about these wagons.

Example #1:
In the Construction Yard:
Steam Engine + Glass-U235 Dual Wagon + Glass-U235 Dual Wagon = 844 Resource Glass & 844 Resource U-235

To equal that without using dual cargo wagons you would need:
Steam Engine + 100% Glass Wagon + 100% Uranium Wagon = 844 Resource Glass & 844 Resource U-235

Example #2
In the Construction Yard:
Steam Engine + 25% Glass-U235 Dual Wagon + 25% Glass-U235 Dual Wagon = 1,266 Resource Glass & 1,266 Resource U-235

To equal that without using dual cargo wagons you would need:
Steam Engine + 150% Glass Wagon + 150% Uranium Wagon = 1,266 Resource Glass & 1,266 Resource U-235
