| The AC6000CW is a 6,250 horsepower (4,660 kW) diesel electric locomotive designed and built by General Electric during the horsepower race between the two major locomotive manufacturers, Electro-Motive Diesel and GE Transportation Systems in 1990s. The goal was 6,000 horsepower (4,500 kW). The AC6000CWs are all used by major railroads in the United States, except for 8 units exported to BHP Billiton Iron Ore in Australia.|
