I find the new 'Trains' panel very unpleasant, it's bad and not functional at the same time:
- The color schema with the light blue and white ribbon is too bright, and does not match the rest of the game, where everything is black: items, feats, contracts, ...
- Buttons are wrongly shaped and the interface looks messy and confusing
- 3 bigger trains are way better than 4 small trains
Is there anyone else who doesn't like the new interface? I'm I the only one?
On April 2nd, Fandom has rolled out the Drafts extension to several wikis, including the TrainStation wiki(s), and if you're a regular editor, i bet you've already met some of its issues. it's really driving me nuts, as i often edit more than 1 page at the same time, and the drafts are haunting me from one wiki to the other (and back!)
I've contacted Fandom Support about this, and explained my experiences (took me 5 emails, but they finally got it lol) but it seems they are not willing to disable the drafts
I've searched around for a bit today, and found the official announcement: https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Thread:1642546
I checked the comments section, and saw alot of unhappy comments, and one even offered a helpful solution to disable the drafts
It does however require an Ad Blocker: (install one if you don't have one already)
Click the Ad Block icon and go to the settings
Go to "Advanced"
Scroll down to "Make a Filter"
Click the button to make a filter, add *ext.wikia.EditDraftSaving* (including both *) and click Save
I am trying to fulfill contract #4 by sending Mrs. Wilma Mr. General, however, I get feedback that to do so would not count toward fulfilling the contract. What do I do now?
Where is the lists of train slots and the requirements for each one that used to be on wiki? I like planning ahead with my materials and now I cannot....
Hi... I wondering if anyone note that PF hasn't updated the Gem train, since Mr Bill picture show it is still on Christmas Holiday, when it is Spring... March... lol.... I notice this on PC version.
Just wondering if anyone notice it, I do apologise if I post it at wrong place, for admin notice.
Has anyone noticed yet that we are linked at the PF Portal?
Both in the top menu, as well as at the bottom of the page in the "Need Help" section is a link to the wiki :D
I've just searched for answers why we are missing levels in our menu
Fandom no longer allows most forms of CSS and JS customization to the headers, this includes fourth and fifth level sub-menus to Wiki Navigation
As of today (22 Aug 2016), Template:Trainset now accepts up to 9 differend wagons (8 + widecar)
Template:BigSet, which i created for temporary use, is no longer needed
Hello,
I have adopted the German Train Station Wiki a few weeks ago, after it was hardly edited and expanded fora long time. To bring the German and English Wiki closer together, I applied for a couple of links.
First, both do the "interlanguage links" now. Thus, I can link the new German pages with the more detailed English pages and en –> de. As a first example, I have linked the pages "Extensions" in both. The links will go at the end of the page, after the Categories. Works well. I will link some pages step by step.
Second, I have requested the "Shared-image-repository". With this function, files, and images of the respective other wiki can be loaded and used. Just in case you may need a file with german text lables. ;-) (I will give it a test-run tomorrow)
As a matter of fact, I will no further have that much time helping out here, but I will follow you here and maybe do some small stuff. Pile of work at the German Wiki.
One of our goals is to increase the level of consistency and coherence across the many pages of the TS Wiki. To that end, there are a few items relating to Contractor pages (specifically the list of Contracts) that I would like the community to discuss. The Contract pages are some of the most widely-visited pages on the Wiki, so it is important that we do a good job with formatting them. As it stands currently, no two Contractor pages are identical in terms of formatting. The issues for discussion (for the moment):
1. How we display "build costs". By build costs, I mean as the following:
Build 10 Oil Well
Cost: 20,000, 15,000, 30,000
How should this second line look? Some pages look like the above (E.g., Bobby), whereas others (e.g., Ethan) look like:
(30,000;20,000;15,000)
And many are some combination in between. So, the questions are:
1a. Bullet or no bullet?
1b. Italics or no italics?
1c. Parentheses or no parentheses?
1d. The word "cost" or not?
2. Next issue: do we display the gold icon (
) when we display the gem icon () in OR contracts. We use the gem icon, of course, do denote that this particular option requires gems (and therefore real money) to use. However, is it necessary to actually include the Gold icon for the other option? Or, is it enough to just display the Gems icon for the Gems option, with the assumption that the option without the Gems icon does not require gems?
I was wandering through a contractor's list of contracts when I noticed that every "Build" contract has a cost listed on one horizontal line, and that editors had to format each resource manually to make it happen.
No longer!! I modified {{Cost}} to recognize an optional parameter, line. Simply enter data for Template:Cost as usual and add |line=y after the final resource. Voilà! The cost appears on one horizontal line with commas between the resources. Complete details are in the documentation on the Template:Cost page.
There is no change to the previous function of {{Cost}}. If parameter line is absent, the output appears on two or three separate lines, as it always has.
To keep the various "Cost" templates consistent, I am editing the Sam, Alan, and Exch variants to use the same feature in the same way. I'm also editing the documentation for the variant templates. As always, questions and feedback are welcome and encouraged.
